Abstract

Community service is a real effort to make a positive contribution to society at the local level. This community service activity is focused on Lamabelawa Village, East Flores Regency, and lasts for two months, starting from 26 April 2023 to 29 June 2023. This journal article aims to document and analyze the results of increasing household food security by utilizing sorghum as an alternative food ingredient. . The method used includes the stages of preparation, implementation, and completion. The results of this service show a significant positive impact on the community in Lamabelawa Village, especially the curious hillside farmer group. The results of the activity showed an increase in community knowledge about sorghum cultivation and processing. The solutions offered have a positive impact on improving the welfare and availability of food in Lamabelawa Village. By optimizing sorghum, it is hoped that the community will become more independent in meeting food needs and increase household food security in the region.
