Pembekalan Para Siswa SMA Untuk Studi di Luar Negeri Melalui Pendekatan Komunikasi Antarbudaya

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diadakan di SMA Mahabodhi Vidya, Jakarta, dengan mengundang 26 siswa dari Kelas XII pada 30 April 2025. Seminar ini berjudul “Thriving, Not Just Surviving: The Realties of Living Abroad” diadakan dengan tujuan untuk membagikan pengetahuan dan pengalaman terkait kehidupan di luar negeri dan komunikasi antarbudaya. Persiapan acara dimulai dengan diskusi dari pihak perwakilan sekolah terkait kebutuhan siswa, relevansi, dan bahasa pengantar yang akan digunakan. Seminar ini dipaparkan dengan cara yang interaktif dan diikuti dengan pre test sekaligus post test. Tes tersebut dilakukan untuk mengetahui pemahaman siswa terhadap materi baik sebelum maupun sesudah pemaparan. Hasil dari post-test menunjukkan bahwa 73,1% menunjukkan minat untuk belajar di luar negeri dengan salah satu alasan bahwa sebanyak 76,9% memilih untuk bergabung dengan lingkungan yang mendorong kebebasan berekspresi.
