Edukasi dan Skrining Asam Urat untuk Meningkatkan Pengetahuan dan Pencegahan Hiperurisemia di Posyandu Sekarwangi 2 Wujil, Kabupaten Semarang

Asam urat merupakan produk akhir dari metabolisme purin. Asam urat yang tinggi dapat disebabkan oleh multifaktorial yang berasal dari makanan, minuman, usia dan aktivitas sehari – hari. Permasalahan yang ditemukan pada lokasi pengabdian di Posyandu Sekarwangi 2 Wujil – Kabupaten Semarang adalah minimnya sosialisasi terkait dengan asam urat, sehingga diperlukan tindakan berupa pengecekan kadar asam urat dan sosialisasi untuk meningkatkan pengetahun masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil temua dalam pengabdian dengan peserta lansia, diperoleh sekitar 9 peserta memiliki kadar urat tinggi dari 43 peserta. Hasil dari pre test menggambarkan bahwa peserta masih belum cukup paham terkait dengan asam urat. Berdasarkan pengabdian ini, identifikasi dan peningkatan pengetahun dalam bidang kesehatan tentang asam urat sangat penting untuk dilakukan secara rutin agar kualitas hidup lansia semakin meningkat.
