Abstract

Anemia merupakan salah satu masalah yang dihadapi oleh negara berkembang. Anemia tidak
hanya disebabkan oleh penyakit tertentu, akan tetapi juga disebabkan oleh asupan makanan,
waktu makan, jenis makanan dan pergaulan. Anemia dapat memberikan dampak kepada
siswa – siswi dalam proses belajar. Dampak yang paling berpotensi adalah perubahan
perilaku dan gangguan kogniitif, sehingga dapat mempengaruhi prestasi di sekolah.
Sosialisasi terkait dengan anemia sangat penting dilakukan di sekolah yang ditujukan untuk
siswa-siswi bahkan ke para orang tuanya. Berdasarkan dari hasil pengabdian yang dilakukan
pada siswa – siswi SMPN 1 Bawen dan skor dari nilai pre test dan post test, serta hasil uji
statistik. Pengetahuan siswa – siswi SMP tentang anemia, dimana sebelum diberikan
sosialisasi skor rata – rata pengetahuan tentang anemia berada pada 63,45 poin dan setelah
diberikan sosialisasi skor rata – rata pengetahuan tetang anemia meningkat menjadi 84,66
poin. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah sosialisasi
(sig.<0,001). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, siswa-siswi SMP di Indonesia perlu mendapatkan
pengetahuan dan binaan tentang anemia.
