Abstract

Di era sekarang ini, setiap karyawan dalam perusahaan tidak hanya dituntut untuk menguasai kompetensi hardskill tetapi juga dituntut untuk menguasai kompetensi softskill. PT KBPN bergerak dalam bidang Imbal Jasa Perkebunan Nusantara, trading komoditas (CPO, Beras, Gula), FMCG, Sertifikasi, dan Logistik. dan semua karyawan di PT KBPN dituntut untuk menguasai kompetensi hardskill dan softskill. PT KBPN telah menyelenggarakan bimbingan teknis (bimtek) bagi karyawannya. Namun bimbingan teknis yang diselenggarakan selama ini lebih menekankan pada peningkatan hard skill dibandingkan softskill. Oleh karena itu, perlu diselenggarakan bimbingan teknis yang menyeimbangkan antara hard skill dan softskill operator. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diselenggarakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi softskill operator pesawat uap kelas I jenis boiler dalam menjalankan tugasnya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat diselenggarakan di PT KBPN, Medan Kota Belawan, Sumatera Utara. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 6 orang operator pesawat uap kelas I jenis Boiler. Kegiatan ini menerapkan metode pra bimtek, pelaksanaan bimtek, hingga pasca bimtek. Aktivitas pra bimtek mencakup survei lokasi, pelaksanaan bimtek mencakup pretes, bimtek softskill dan pasca bimtek mencakup postes hingga refleksi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya peningkatkan keterampilan softskill operator terutama dalam hal komunikasi, kreativitas, kepemimpinan dan pemecahan masalah dengan peningkatan skor sebesar 45%. Sebagai kesimpulan, kegiatan bimtek ini menghasilkan operator yang memiliki komptensi softskill yang baik dan bermanfaat bagi perusahaan tempat mereka bekerja.
