Abstract

The development of information system technology today has a positive impact on the agricultural sector with the development of various applications, including inventory applications. Inventory is an activity of data collection, recording, and reporting. One of the farming fields related to inventory activities is the field of seed supervision and certification. Seed certification activities for food and horticultural commodities begin with an application for certification, preliminary inspection, plant inspection, processing prospective seeds, taking seed samples, testing prospective seeds, giving label serial numbers, and supervising label installation. The process of managing inventory data by crop seed supervisors at UPTD PSB Pronvinsi NTT is still carried out without the help of additional applications other than Microsoft Excel and Word. The solution of UPTD PSB Pronvinsi NTT through the seed quality certification section is the development of the Food Plant Seed Variety Inventory Data Processing Application which is expected to facilitate employees and contribute to processing inventory data on the distribution of food plant seed varieties. In this research, the method used is Extreme Programming which this method has 4 stages namely planning, design, coding, and testing. This application has an impact on the seed quality supervision section in collecting data on the types of varieties in food crops in 1 city and 21 districts in East Nusa Tenggara province and facilitates the control process through field reports that can be done at any time without having to wait for the disposition of field officers to go to the intended district.
