Abstract

Mengurangi hambatan dalam penggunaan layanan kesehatan ibu merupakan salah satu komponen penting untuk meningkatkan kesehatan ibu. Kalimantan Timur telah melakuka upaya signifikan untuk mengurangi angka kematian ibu, namun rasio kematian ibu masih tetap tinggi. Sehingga diperluka epuaya lebih lanjut. Penelitianini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk memahami persepsi dan pengalaman ibu dalam menggunakan layanan kesehatan ibu di Kalimantan Timur. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan diskusi kelompok terarah di beberapa daerah, yaitu Kabupaten Berau, Kutai Barat, Kutai Kartanegara, Kutai Timur, Mahakam Ulu, Paser, Penajam Paser Utara, Kota Samarinda dan Kota Balikpapan. Sebanyak 45 wanita berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini dari juni hingga agustus 2023. Hasil penelitian menyoroti persepsi para peserta mengenai faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan penggunaan layanan kesehatan ibu yang tidak optimal. Hambatan geografis, finansial, dan social budaya yang diidentifikasi dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya pemahaman mendalam mengenai pengalaman dan persepsi ibu dalam menggunakan layanan kesehatan ibu. Temuan ini sangat penting bagi upaya peningkatan hasil kesehatan ibu, baik di Kalimantan tiur maupun di wilayah lain yang menghadapai tantangan serupa.
